Meet the Candidates Election 2024

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) is led by a 13-member board, and its members are elected by school directors from the 42 suburban school districts in Allegheny County. Every year, the AIU holds elections to fill vacancies on its board. Candidates are elected by the 378 school directors who represent the county's 42 suburban school districts.

In 2024, there are six vacancies on the AIU's board. A total of seven candidates submitted the required documentation for candidacy. On March 15, the AIU held its annual meet the candidates' event. Candidate bios and a recording of their speeches is below. Board members will receive their ballots by mail.
