The AIU’s Training and Consultation (TaC) team recently hosted its annual PBIS Student Summit, bringing together 120 secondary students and 96 elementary students from across Allegheny County.

Students participated in collaborative leadership activities including team presentations, poster sessions, and structured teamwork time designed to spark innovative ideas for strengthening schoolwide PBIS efforts.

Secondary teams attended from North Hills, North Allegheny, Chartiers Valley, Avonworth, East Allegheny, West Allegheny, Penn Hills, South Allegheny, South Park, West Mifflin, and Elizabeth Forward school districts. Elementary teams came from Baldwin-Whitehall, Keystone Oaks, Moon Area, West Mifflin, Avonworth, Gateway, and Highlands school districts.

Throughout the summit, students connected with peers, shared successes and challenges, and identified actionable next steps to enhance positive school climate and student leadership within their buildings.
