The Math & Science Collaborative is leading the charge in advancing math and science education across the region through professional development sessions that connect classroom learning with real-world applications and future career pathways.
The Environmental Literacy Summit was a dynamic, one-day symposium centered on Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (PA STEELS) in K–12 Education. The featured environmental experts led sessions exploring how to integrate sustainability and environmental awareness into daily teaching practices.
MSC also recently hosted two other initiatives focused on preparing students for college and career success. Redesigning High School Mathematics, featuring nationally recognized facilitators Dr. Eric Milou and Dr. Steve Leinwand, engaged teams from ten school districts and other partners in rethinking math instruction to reflect real-world problem-solving and workforce needs.
Meanwhile, the STEM+C to Support College and Career Readiness program, funded by a PA Smart Innovation Grant, brought together educators from multiple districts and career and technical centers. The event featured a keynote by Mr. AJ Juliani and inspired participants to strengthen STEM integration across their curricula.
