Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Training and Consultation team for this IN-PERSON training series.
This two-part series supports school district teams and individual professionals with building a comprehensive, research-based transition system. Together, these sessions provide professional development to enhance practical tools, strategies, and planning structures to support districts in creating cohesive, effective transition systems that lead to improved outcomes for students.
Part one of this series, participants will explore how to build a comprehensive, research-based transition system using data to inform planning, align practices with compliance, and improve student outcomes. The session emphasizes sustainable frameworks, collaboration, and district-level action planning to strengthen transition services.
The final session of this series, participants will develop or refine district-centered action plans to strengthen interagency partnerships and leverage community resources to improve transition services. Emphasis is placed on collaboration, shared accountability, and the examination of current partnerships, service gaps, and funding streams to enhance system effectiveness.
Additionally, participants will define the role of the Transition Coordinator and identify actionable steps to sustain this position over time. Focus is placed on advancing continuous improvement efforts that promote coordination, consistency, and long-term student success.
