Social and Emotional Learning: Tools, Strategies, and Systems for Impact
Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Training and Consultation team for this IN-PERSON training series.
In this training session, participants will learn how to cultivate a supportive learning environment through Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Participants will explore strategies to empower students by developing agency, fostering a sense of belonging, forging meaningful connections, and promoting equity within educational settings. Participants will gain practical insights and resources to effectively integrate SEL practices into daily classroom routines, enhancing both academic achievement and overall well-being. The last day of the training series will be focused on supporting the adult nervous system.
Session 1 – September 30, 2026
In this first of three sessions, participants will explore the definition of Social and Emotional Learning through an equity and trauma-informed lens. Participants will engage in discussions and activities designed to deepen their understanding and application of SEL strategies that promote agency, belonging, and connection among students. By the end of the session, attendees will gain actionable insights and resources to apply within their daily classroom practices.
