Supporting Secondary Readers: Strategies for Teaching Reading at the Secondary Level

Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Training and Consultation team for this IN-PERSON training.
Achievement assessments continue to show that middle and high school students struggle to read and comprehend texts proficiently. In this session, participants will learn about the science behind secondary literacy development and how to translate the evidence base into their classrooms. Participants will also learn about intervention structures and supports that can benefit struggling secondary readers.
