Eco Challenge inspires future environmental leaders

The AIU this month partnered with the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens to present the annual Eco Challenge, an exciting event designed to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders.

During the event, students from across the region participated in hands-on, eco-themed activities that blended science, creativity, and nature exploration. A highlight of the day was the opportunity to meet with Phipps’ Botany in Action fellows, who shared insights into their cutting-edge research and opened students’ eyes to the many career paths in science and environmental stewardship.

The Eco Challenge also marked the kickoff of the Phipps Fairchild Challenge, a free, fun, and standards-based program that empowers students to tackle real-world environmental issues through science, art, and innovation.
