Earlier this month, the AIU’s ESL program hosted the “Bridging Connections and Exploring Pittsburgh” student event at the Heinz History Center. Over 300 students from across Allegheny County were in attendance. South Sudanese refugee and education activist, Mary Maker, gave a keynote speech to the students, followed by an opportunity for the attendees to meet one another and explore the museum.
