On April 2, SEEKS SES hosted a virtual community of practice on how to engage students with supports of school social workers. Watch the video here.
Kelsey Ott-Sudik from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work and Alexandria Gariepy, social worker/therapist at Sto-Rox School District, led the conversation. They discussed the importance of leveraging social workers in the school environment, how to prepare social work students for your district, and how to utilize social work students to build capacity within your district regarding behavioral health supports.
