AIU Announces 2020 Board of Directors Election Results
The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is pleased to announce the results of the 2020 election for the AIU Board of Directors. The winners are:
Debbie Beale, Highlands School District
James Bulger, Steel Valley School District
Phil Little, North Hills School District
Daniel O'Keefe, Northgate School District
Debbie Beale is the AIU’s current board president and has been a member of the Highlands School District Board of School Directors for 22 non-consecutive years. Jim Bulger, president of the Steel Valley School District Board of School Directors, has served on the AIU’s Board of Directors since 2017. Phil Little is a current member of the North Hills School District Board of School Directors and has been elected to his first term. Daniel O’Keefe has served as a member of the Northgate School District Board of School Directors for more than 17 years, and was a member of the AIU’s Board of Directors from 2015 to 2019.
The election included a total of eight candidates who competed for four open seats on the AIU’s Board of Directors. The newly elected board members will begin their three-year terms on July 1, 2020. Eligible voters consisted of the 378 school directors in suburban Allegheny County.
