SUMMARY:The Dynamic Learning Maps in Action: Instructional Planning
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Training and Consultation team for this HYBRID training series. \n\n\nThrough two in-person training days and two one-hour networking sessions\, this series moves use of the DLM from a PASA assessment score report into a practical tool for instruction and IEP development. Participants will use student specific data alongside the DLM Essential Elements\, Linkage Levels\, and Mini-Maps to identify starting points for instruction\, build learning progressions\, and design meaningful goals\, objectives\, unit and lesson plans aligned to current performance. \nDay 1 focuses on interpreting prior year PASA DLM results into instructional entry points\, connecting Essential Elements across grade levels\, and building unit and lesson plans using high leverage precursor skills. Participants will explore strategies to empower students by developing agency\, fostering a sense of belonging\, forging meaningful connections\, and promoting equity within educational settings. Participants will gain practical insights and resources to effectively integrate SEL practices into daily classroom routines\, enhancing both academic achievement and overall well-being. The last day of the training series will be focused on supporting the adult nervous system. \nSession 1 – September 30\, 2026\n\n\nIn this first of three sessions\, participants will explore the definition of Social and Emotional Learning through an equity and trauma-informed lens.
