DESCRIPTION:The Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Training & Consultation Team is offering two professional learning opportunities designed to strengthen district and building-level implementation of Chapter 15/Section 504 supports. \n\n\nThe first opportunity\, Navigating 504s: Building Systems and Procedures as a Team\, is a full-day\, in-person training designed for school-based teams. Participants will build a shared understanding of legal requirements\, eligibility determination\, service agreements\, accommodations\, and LEA responsibilities while developing efficient systems and procedures for implementing and monitoring Section 504 supports. \nRequired Team Members: District 504 Coordinator and at least one district representative. \nAdditional Suggested Team Members: Any personnel that writes and our supports students through the Section 504 in the district\, including but not limited to: school counselors\, school social workers\, nurses\, building principals\, other building level administrators\, special education liaisons\, and other district level administrators. \nLocation: Rogers Room\, Allegheny Intermediate Unit\, 475 East Waterfront Drive\, Homestead\, PA 15120 \nLearn more and Register
