SUMMARY:Emotional Support Teacher Training
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a series of professional learning that centers on the development of teachers of students receiving emotional support. Teachers will begin with two days of training where they will establish beginning of the year rules and routines with a trauma-informed lens. Teachers will also learn how to use the Pennsylvania Career Ready Skills Continuum to center social emotional skill development in their daily teaching. Additionally\, teachers will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing networking sessions throughout the year\, which will focus on topics targeted at the core components of being an emotional support teacher.

This training aims to empower educators with knowledge and practical strategies to create a positive\, supportive\, and inclusive learning environment through restorative and preventative discipline practices. This series will support teachers and administrators in developing a classroom and office continuum of responses for their context.  The sessions will focus on treating all students with dignity\, building relationships\, responsibility\, and problem solving skills. Participants will leave with actionable insights and tools to foster positive behavior and enhance student success.
