DESCRIPTION:Get ready to go green and get inspired at the Eco Challenge—the exciting kick-off to the Phipps Fairchild Challenge! \n\n\n\n\nStudents will jump into three hands-on\, eco-themed activities that blend science\, creativity\, and nature exploration. From uncovering the wonders of the Phipps Conservatory to practicing scientific observation\, creative writing\, and nature connection\, there’s something for every curious mind! Additionally\, high schoolers will take the spotlight to interview real-life scientists—our Phipps Botany in Action fellows—about their cutting-edge research. \nAt Eco Challenge\, you’ll discover how your class can join the Fairchild Challenge(opens in new tab)\, a fun\, free\, and standards-based program that lets students tackle real-world environmental issues through science\, art\, and innovation. Let’s grow a greener future—together! \nPlease note that there is a $10 per student fee for this event. \nRegistration is limited to 12 students (3 teams) per school due to event capacity. If you are interested in bringing additional students\, you can always send us an email closer to the event date to see if we have any additional space due to cancellations. \nChaperones must stay onsite for the entirety of ALL events and always be accessible to their students if needed\, as the AIU is not responsible for attendees.
