    NORWIN SCHOOL DISTRICT - Director of Communications and Development

    The Norwin School District is seeking a Director of Communications and Development. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting directly to the Superintendent that provides leadership and direction for accurate, transparent, and consistent communications with all internal and external stakeholders.

     The ideal candidate will have:
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or related area.
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience preferred in the following areas: directing organizational public relations, community relations, media relations, government relations, and legislative activity. Experience in schools and/or public sector is a plus.
    • Experience preferred in marketing/advertising, print operations, publications management, website management, digital communication, and fundraising.
    • Evidence of technological expertise, including social media and email management and/or marketing.
    • Ability to simplify complex issues and ideas and clearly present them to targeted stakeholders.
    • Awareness and utilization of community resources.
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to consistently demonstrate and model positive attitude and behaviors.
    • A strong desire to work in a collaborative office environment, employing a growth mindset and working effectively as part of an administrative team.
    • Experience with budget development and management.
    • Proven relationship-building skills with developing and maintaining excellent working relationships within an organization.
    • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and thoroughly to prioritize and complete tasks within strict deadlines.
    • Fundraising and/or development experience, including experience utilizing donor management software, is preferred.

    Eastern Area Specials Schools Buildings and Grounds Manager Sunrise School

    EASSJC is seeking a building and grounds manager for Sunrise School. This is a salaried, 1099 contract position and will provide facilities oversite on a regular, as needed basis. Candidates should have a working knowledge of HVAC technologies, plumbing, and electrical systems.  The ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines, oversee large and small projects and create a long-term facilities plans is desirable. 

    Qualifications include a minimum of a high school diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree is preferred and must have a valid driver’s license. Five years of facility management experience in physical operation and maintenance, grounds and equipment (preferably of a school setting) desired.     Chartiers Houston School District


    About the District

    The Chartiers Houston School District (CHSD) is seeking the next leader of the District. CHSD, comprised of the Township of Chartiers and the Borough of Houston, occupies approximately 24 square miles in Washington County, PA, about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh.  CHSD educates approximately 1130 students in its two buildings (K-6) and (7-12), using a $20.6 million budget.

    The Superintendent position will be available beginning July 1, 2021.

    About the Position

     In addition to possession of the Pennsylvania Superintendent Letter of Eligibility and all required clearances, the successful candidate must:

    -have administrative experience in at least one PA public school, in a position requiring certification by the PA Department of Education

    -possess persuasive and articulate written and verbal communication skills

    -have demonstrated leadership in working with school personnel, parents, students and the general public

    -possess a sincere interest in the growth and achievement of all students, using data to drive decisions

    -be committed to fiscal responsibility, sound school finance and business management

    -be able to make difficult recommendations/decisions for the good of the District as a whole
