This exciting program is designed with the theater enthusiast in mind. Students are introduced to the art of acting by participating in monologue and scene work covering the basics of character development, objectives, sub text and stage movement. Expanding beyond stagecraft, students will gain valuable knowledge and understanding of the many skills and talents necessary to produce productions in professional theater by interacting with Pittsburgh Public Theater staff and artists. Students will attend four student matinees during the program with two extra sessions in December and April. Please note that a lab fee of $66.00 made payable to the Pittsburgh Public Theater for theater tickets is due at the first session. This fee is in addition to the $75.00 application fee.
All sessions are from 9am-2pm and will meet at the Pittsburgh Public Theater.
