• The Allegheny Intermediate Unit is currently seeking a  Service Coordinator of Physical Health for its Early Head Start Program. 

    The Service Coordinator of Physical Health is responsible for the implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards as they relate to health service area and overall infant/toddler development. The Service Coordinator will support the role of parents in the health of their children/family and oversees the health care planning for children in the AIU Early Head Start Program.  The Service Coordinator will substitute for the EHS teacher on an as-needed basis, supervise the health advisor, monitor oral health practices and environmental safety and nutrition services, and conduct pre/post-natal services. This position is responsible for coordinating and conducting staff and parent trainings and coordinates and facilitates the Health Service Advisory Committee. The Service Coordinator is also responsible for the data entry of health documentation.

    A bachelor level Registered Nurse required or Master of Science in Nursing preferred.  Supervisory experience is required, along with knowledge and experience in pediatric and prenatal care.  Experience in consultation and training for staff and parents is also preferred.
