ADAPT (A Developmental Activity Program for Teachers)

Program Description

Teachers often need assistance with adapting and differentiating instruction for all levels of learning. ADAPT is a professional development program which provides teachers with models to follow for adapting instruction and assessment materials for elementary and secondary students. ADAPT includes manuals and workshops that provide tools to assess students' learning needs, offers models and templates for adapting instruction, and describes processes for differentiating instruction. The five ADAPT manuals are designed for various levels, needs, and domains of literacy, and are available through the AIU's Reading Achievement Center. "Training of Trainer" workshops are also available to district personnel.
