Applications and Administration
The AIU's Applications and Administration Team provides management and support of various information systems for the AIU. It also administers cell phone and mobile devices, assists with E-rate and serves as a liaison between the AIU programs and the Information Technology Division.
- Cell Phones and Mobile Devices
Management and configuration of AIU-provided cell phones and mobile devices.
- Cognos Report Writing
The Cognos Report Writer is used with the eFinancePlus and eSchoolPlus systems to analyze data and produce reports.
DocuClass is a "process-oriented" document management software solution designed to organize, distribute, standardize and control how documents are managed within the business environment.
The E-rate program provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access.
- Finance and Human Resources System
The AIU's Financial and Human Resources information system is Sungard Public Sector's eFinancePLUS software. The Applications and Administration Team supports and maintains the security and system maintenance of the various subsystems of eFinancePLUS.
The AIU's special education student information system is Sungard's eSchoolPlus software, which manages processes such as attendance, demographics and scheduling.
- Microsoft Office
Microsoft Office is a complete suite of productivity and database software that helps save time and stay organized. Users can create dynamic business documents, spreadsheets, presentations and databases.
- PennData / Data Quality Network
The Special Education Reporting System of the Pennsylvania Department of Education is a reporting tool for intermediate units to submit school district special education data to the Commonwealth.
- Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS)
The Pennsylvania Department of Education's statewide longitudinal data system is improving data capabilities by enhancing school districts' capacities to meet student-level data reporting requirements and provide robust decision support tools. PIMS is based on open internet standards that enable sharing among diverse, otherwise incompatible systems and includes safeguards for data quality and security.
- Resource Scheduler
The Resource Scheduler is loaded with features which allow users to schedule conference rooms and reserve AV equipment.
SchoolMessenger is a quick alert messaging service that the AIU will use for communicating emergencies, weather-related closures/delays and general information such as important AIU/school announcements.
- Website Management
Through the use of a content management system, the staff provides AIU programs the ability to manage content on AIU websites.
