Service Request Form

If you have a student in need of clothing, uniforms, bust tickets, etc. please complete the form below and it will be submitted directly to the Region 4 office.  Once received, a confirmation will be sent and the request will be looked into being filled.  Please make sure to complete the form with all information needed to ensure requests are filled in a timely manner.  Incomplete request forms will not be fulfilled.  If there are any questions, please contact Sara Salopek at 412-394-5936 or at sara.salopek@aiu3.net.

ECYEH Reporting Database

** IMPORTANT **

END of YEAR PROCESS

The ECYEH Program Year Ends June 30, 2917.  All students identified as experiencing homelessness between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017 need to be added into the system by June 30, 2017. The system will CLOSE on June 30, 2017 at 11:59 PM.

The system will reopen July 10 – September 1 to transition students who continue to experience homelessness. NO NEWLY IDENTIFIED STUDENTS CAN BE REPORTED AT THIS TIME. IF YOU DISCOVER DURING THE TRANSITION WINDOW THAT YOU DID NOT REPORT A STUDENT THAT WAS ELIGIBLE FOR THE 2016-17 PROGRAM YEAR, YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THAT INFORMATION TO YOUR REGIONAL COORDINATOR.  THEY CANNOT BE ADDED INTO THE SYSTEM BY LEA USERS AFTER JUNE 30, 2017.

When the system reopens on July 10, 2017 students who were designated as  “currently enrolled in school” as of June 30, 2017 in the Student Status Field will remain in the system.  All other students will have been removed.

For students who remain in the system, please update the Student Status Field as “continues to experience homelessness as of July 1, 2017”  OR “no longer experiencing homelessness as of July 1, 2017”.For students continuing to experience homelessness, you will need to update their data entry page to reflect all information as it reflects their eligibility as of July 1.

Fields that must be updated include:

  • Update Date of identification to July 1, 2017.
  • Update nighttime status if changed.
  • Update living with parents or legal guardian if changed. (unaccompanied youth)
  • Update grade and/or school if applicable.
  • Update barriers and service delivery as applicable.

The  Transition window will close on  September 1, 2017 at 11:59 PM.   ALL students that have not been  updated to  “continues to experience homelessness as of July 1, 2017” will be removed from the system.

PLEASE BE SURE TO EXPORT AND SAVE IN EXCEL, A COMPLETE REPORT OF YOUR STUDENTS BEFORE THE SYSTEM CLOSES.  If you need assistance extracting a report, there are step-by-step instructions under the  Help Tab.  If you still need assistance please use ecyehsupport@aiu3.net.

The system will reopen for the new 2017-18 year on Monday, September 11th . Students updated to ‘continues to experience homelessness’ as of July 1 with their updated information will remain in the system.  You may then go in and update records for any changes that have occurred for existing students and add any  newly identified students as of July 1, 2017.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is required to report annually to the United States Department of Education (ED) on children and youth meeting the McKinney-Vento Act definition of homelessness.

  1. All LEAs are required to report even if they don’t receive services or support from the ECYEH Program.

    **LEAs include school districts, charter and cyber schools, comprehensive technical centers, and IUs (including LEA Head Start, Early Head Start, and PreK programs).


  2. All entities, typically shelters or non-LEA prekindergarten programs, receiving direct or indirect services from McKinney-Vento funded staff are also required to report.

    **Direct services are outlined in the McKinney-Vento Act and reflected in the service delivery portion of data collection.

    **Indirect services include outreach activities completed by a staff member whose position is supported through McKinney-Vento Act funds.

ECYEH - Region 4 - Spring County Meetings

**Please note, the information given at the meetings this year will be county specific and it is strongly suggested you attend the meeting in your county.

The meeting that will be held in Washington County at Intermediate Unit #1 will benefit Washington, Greene and Fayette.

The meeting that will be held in Bedford County at Everett High School will benefit Bedford, Somerset and Fulton.
