Adult Education & Workforce Development

Adults in Allegheny County have many educational opportunities through the AIU's Adult Education and Workforce Development department. Most of the programs target economically and academically challenged parents who are interested in improving educational and employment opportunities for their family. Others courses help potential employees develop skills needed in the workplace.

Funding for these programs comes from a variety of sources including the PA Department of Education, the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pittsburgh Partnership and the Allegheny County Department of Human Services.
